About me and why I code
Hey! Thanks for checking out my website. This is one of my ongoing pet projects. I wanted to have a place where I could showcase some of my work. I know my code is messy, inefficient, and generally just hacked together, but it works. I’m relatively new to programming so cut me some slack. I’m currently studying Computer Science in school after switching majors from Environmental Science. What made me switch? I don’t know. I’ve always been interested in gadgets and how they worked, so when I needed another class one semester and saw they were offering “Intro to programming 101,” I figured I’d give it a try. Not even a week into the semester and I was hooked. The fact that programming is just as much a form of art as it is a form of science is very satisfying to me. Being able to think of a problem and immediately begin solving it using only a laptop is incredible. The amount of freely available information online is staggering. If you have a question about programming there are thousands of websites, similar to the one you are on right now 😉 that have tutorials, videos, practice examples, and forums where you can ask legit computer science professionals your questions and get very detailed answers. Anyway, this website is here in hopes that someone somewhere will find it and learn something new.
